Eid cards, a journal and a colouring book!

Assalaamu alaykum!

Below are some cards that we made

and received last Eid! The origami dresses can be

made quite easily if you follow the tutorial of the

following link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uZo5vNdG1CU

Then all you need is some card, fancy paper, embellishments etc.

 Zainab loves reading the How To Train Your Dragon series,

and for Eid she received a handmade journal made by our mother!

 

MashaAllah look at the different textured paper, mostly dyed with

coffee! There's some papyrus paper in there too!

 

Zainab received another book, this time from

Sumayyah, it's a handmade colouring book (mashaAllah)!

Handmade gifts are always special and unique!

Do try making gifts and cards yourself, it's

a lot of fun and keeps you busy, especially during

Ramadan and long holidays!

Yummy creative cupcakes!

Assalaamu alaykum

Sumayyah and Zainab had fun decorating these cupcakes

for Sumayyah's class yesterday.

They used:

Chocolate muffins

Strawberry frosting

Gummy worms

Lollipops

Smarties

Tiny candy balls

YUMMY!

Mothers are like buttons...

Assalaamu alaykum

The

have been away for ages...

Here's an Eid gift Zainab made for her mother,

Materials used:

Das clay

acrylic paints

buttons

pencil

thin paintbrush

ribbon

How to make:

Roll out the Das Clay to whatever shape you like.

Let the shape air dry until hard and white. Poke a

hole where you want the ribbon to go through,

somewhere near the top in the middle. Paint your shape

any colour you like. Let it dry. Paint on the words like above

and leave a space where you want the buttons to go, anywhere 

a letter 'O' has to go. Glue buttons into spaces. Tie a ribbon

through the hole and there you have it, a lovely unusual gift

for your mother.
