A handmade gift for Eid!

Did you have a nice Ramadan and Eid?
The have been keeping
busy in Ramadan making handmade gifts for Eid.
The present which took us most of Ramadan to complete
was a home for a family of handmade rabbits for our
little sister Sumayyah who's 5 years old.

The different rooms were made from empty juice boxes.
So here are the pics. Enjoy!

Above is the front of the home.

Tiny books on the shelf. Cushions made from felt,
stuffed with stuffing then sewn up.

One of the best rooms in the home is the homeschooling room.

Next to the homeschooling room is the dining room.
The dining room has a door which leads to the back rooms.

The back rooms are the kitchen and the sitting room.

Cereal box Car

Sorry for the delay, but alhamdulillah we are back!

We made a car for our dolls out of two small cereal boxes.
We glued them together, painted them, then the back box was cut enough so
a doll could fit inside and we left space for the boot. For the front part
of the car we left enough space for the bonnet and cut 3 sides
of the top of the box then flipped the piece upright so it
would be able to represent the window. We then cut out a middle
section of the flap and attached a piece of plastic for the glass.
If you look at the pics, you'll understand better. We took some pics
as we were making it up but they weren't very clear.

Hope you enjoy the car, it's actually really cool mashaAllah!

We made the tyres out of cardboard.

Checking out the boot.

The steering wheel is also cardboard.

Vroom, vroooooooom!!!!!

Our dollies boutique

Assalaamu alaykum!

The are back after the Eid break.

We want to show you a boutique we finished yesterday.
The base is an old jigsaw box, the windows are what our little sister's cardboard
dominoes were stuck to, the cash register is a printable we found online.
We named the shop after Zainab. So welcome to Zainab's Boutique!

There are two customers, Poppy and Rose, already in the shop.
One is looking at shoes, the other at dresses.

Here's Poppy trying on a pair of shoes.
The shop assistant Blossom, is helping her.

Look how nice the shop layout looks from above mashaAllah.

The dresses and shoes were spare ones which came with the dolls.

The changing room is made out of a cardboard box which one of
the dolls came in. The mirror is a real mirror from an old purse.
The curtain is an origami paper we folded like you fold a paper fan.
Then at the top we punched a several holes to put a ribbon through it.
This ribbon was then stuck to the box.

Rose is now going to try on a dress.

The bags are also printables we got from a miniture dollshouse

Poppy is buying herself the shoes!

Both Poppy and Rose have had fun shopping at Zainab's Boutique.
