Zainab's 365 Project

Assalaamu alaykum

This is Zainab. I'm starting a 365 project today. A 365 project is

when you take a photo a day for a year, or 365 days! The photos can

be about anything you like. I really want to keep this going for a year Inshallah. Here's my first photo.

Day 1



We bought a packet of metal jewelry pieces and I decided to make
words out of them. This is one of my favorites!

Animals In Their Habitats Poster

We want to share with you a school project

Zainab did when she was in Grade 2.

It is a poster about

'Animals In Their Habitats.'

Handmade swords

Zainab here!

Sumayyah and I made a couple of handmade swords.

We used:

Thick cardboard

Glue

Foil

Scissors

Gold paint

Black marker

First of all draw your sword shape on cardboard.

Draw two identical handles as well.

 

Then cut it out.

Paint the handle of your sword with

gold paint. When it dries go around the

edge with the black marker.

Wrap and glue the sword with foil.

Glue the handles to the front and back of the sword.

If you want you can cut out small shapes

of jewels and paint them, then stick them on

to the handle.

If you have silver paint, you don't need the foil.

Have fun playing with your swords!

Our trip to South Wales, UK

This summer we visited South Wales in the UK.

We spent a week on a narrow boat, it was really nice.

We walked through woods, picked blackberries and

enjoyed the scenery, plants and animals.

We even visited an old castle.
